If you know us well, you know customer service is right at the top of our list of priorities in running our business, so whenever one of our customers calls us to ask us if we can produce custom made folding tents to their exact requirement, we absolute love it, because it tests our skills of delivering great service.
Our friends at South Down College in Hampshire have come up with a great initiative to develop the entrepreneurial spirit amongst their students. Careers Advisor Kev Sadler contacted us with the idea of a “pop up shop” located in a height restricted area of the college, where students could buy and sell their products either made or supplied by fellow students.
We had a 3 week lead time to produce one of our custom made Folding Tents, which had to measure 2m x 2m, have 3 side bars to display branded half walls and a flat roof, as the “shop” was planned to be located under a mezzanine level roof of the building, so it couldn’t accommodate the usual roof structure of our Classic Tents. Not only did we produce a flat roof structure, we also put a height restriction on the legs of the folding tent, so they physically couldn’t go up as high as our standard Folding Tents.
