Newly-installed Terrace Screens prove a hit with fish and chip fans in Skegness
The chilly sea breeze ‘battered’ diners at the Anchor Chippy in Ingoldmells, before we supplied our stunning Terrace Screens.
Now more visitors are enjoying the beachfront family restaurant and takeaway because our Terrace Screens have blocked the wind – creating a more enjoyable dining experience outdoors.
Our Pavement Screens have transformed the coastal chippy – which ranks amongst the top ten in Skegness according to Tripadvisor!
What did we deliver?
Ten made-to-measure Gibli Terrace Screens were supplied to the Skegness site by us.
They were individually colour-matched to complement the exterior of the restaurant and the outdoor furniture.
Before we clinched the order, we produced a CAD drawing to show how we could accommodate the Terrace Screens in the outside area. This computer-aided design is vital, from conceptual design to assembly.
Our Gibli Terrace Screens offer a robust, stylish and elegant enclosed glass top and can be supplied to be installed in three different configurations.
What was paramount for this installation is that we provided the outdoor seating area with as much protection from the wind.
With a Gibli Terrace Screen, the glass is fully enclosed within the frame and can be branded to match corporate colours.
The enquiry for Terrace Screens at the Anchor Chippy came to us just as lockdown restrictions were being lifted and the business was preparing to welcome an increased number of customers.

The new products enhanced the overall look of the restaurant and take away and created a brand new look for the already established business.

“I worked closely with Richard at In Your Corner, and we talked a lot about what I needed here and how best to protect diners when they were eating their meals outside. Richard and his team are professionals of the highest standard.
“The Terrace Screens have made an enormous difference to the outside area. I also know that they are successfully shielding guests from the wind and that was our biggest ask.
“Being on the coast, we really needed something to protect diners from the weather and these have been just the job.
“What was even more impressive is that we could have them colour-matched to our corporate colour. I thought this was brilliant.
“When you’re running a busy chip shop, you don’t want to lose business because of the weather. We have a short season so maximising income is crucial.
“I think we’ve been busier since we’ve installed the Terrace Screens and that’s because they look so welcoming and have probably given us a greater street presence.
“We are delighted with the Terrace Screens from In Your Corner. Despite us being on the East Coast and In Your Corner being in Derbyshire, the communication was superb. Nothing seemed too much trouble and delivery and service was on time. We can’t recommend In Your Corner enough.”
